Region-7’S pride off to Productivity Olympics national tilt

Cebu City, Philippines.  Region-7 has three (3) contenders to this year’s Productivity Olympics national competition.

A.T.E. by Tatah of Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City; Feb20 Enterprises of San Antonio Street, Mandaue City; and Pulchra Resort of San Isidro, San Fernando, Cebu completed the Region’s list of national finalists to the competition after having successfully undergone and passed through an extensive screening conducted by the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC-Manila).

A.T.E. by Tatah, a homegrown Cebu brand specializing on ready-to-wear collections and Feb20 Enterprises, noted of its variety of goodies such as polvoron, peanut butter, and masareal, among others will be facing against other entrants coming from other Regions under the Industry-Small Category.

Pulchra Resort, known for its 2018 Most Favored Hotel Award by JALPAK Japanese Travel Agency, is the Region’s lone bet facing other national contenders under the Service-Medium Category.

“We have high hopes that Region-7 will be taking home another award this time. But more than anything else, what I want for our national finalists as well as for the rest of the establishments in the Region is to continue what they have started insofar as promoting productivity in the workplace is concerned,” said Director Siaton, who also sits as Chairperson of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB-7), the lead agency taking charge of productivity program.

To recall, Tokyo Steel Philippines Corporation, a manufacturer of Ultra precise stainless steel shafts based at MEPZ 1, Lapu-lapu City and Raw Brown Sugar Milling Co., Inc. of San Jose Street, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental bagged the national awards and emerged as 2017 Productivity Olympics National Champions.

Tokyo Steel Philippines Corporation catapulted other national contenders and took home the national award under the Industry Sector-Small Category. The Raw Brown Sugar Milling Co., Inc., on the other hand, bested all other entrants under the Agribusiness Sector-Medium Category.

The Productivity Olympics is a biennial, nationwide search for the most productive establishments under the following categories, namely: INDUSTRY (micro, small and medium); SERVICE (micro, small and medium) and AGRIBUSINESS (micro, small and medium).

Apart from Tokyo Steel Philippines Corporation and Raw Brown Sugar Milling Co., Inc., other national winners produced by Region-7 through the lead of the RTWPB-7 are Saint Joseph Academy and Wellmade Motors & Development Corporation.

The national awarding will be taking place next month in Manila.
