List of CAMP beneficiaries readied for DOF

Cebu City, Philippines. The list of paid beneficiaries under the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) in Region-7 is now being finalized for submission to the DOLE-Central Office, confirmed DOLE-7 Regional Director Salome O. Siaton.

All DOLE Regional Offices, she said, are required to submit their final list of paid CAMP beneficiaries, which the DOLE Central Office will be endorsing to and sharing with the Department of Finance (DOF) for its Small Business Wage Subsidy (SBWS) program.

Under the SBWS, qualified beneficiaries in Central Visayas will receive a wage subsidy amounting to Php6,000.00 for two (2) months.

DOLE-7, Director Siaton added, received a total budget of Php158,090,000.00 for CAMP, which was all exhausted as of 30 April 2020. “This amount has already been depleted. Yes, it was not able to accommodate all the affected workers in Region. That’s the sad truth and the primary limitation that had been confronting us in our implementation of the program is limited funds,” she said.

The DOLE-7 registered 31,618 workers benefiting the amount coming from 1,403 companies Region-wide.

Establishments whose applications were unfortunately not approved or even if approved but could no longer be accommodated by the DOLE’s budget on CAMP, are highly encouraged to apply for and avail of the SMALL BUSINESS WAGE SUBSIDY (SBWS) Program of the Department of Finance (DOF).

For more information and guidance of the SBWS, the following websites could be visited and explored: (1)https://www.dof.gov.ph/small_business_wages/sbws-procedure-foremployees/; (2) https://www.dof.gov.ph/dof-to-implement-wage-subsidy-program-for-3-4-m-workers-of-small-businesses/; and (3) www.sss.gov.ph. Employer-applicants are respectfully urged to apply online at the SSS Portal.

It can be recalled that effective 15 April 2020, 5:00 P.M., DOLE suspended the acceptance of all online CAMP applications due to depleted funds.
