Every year since 2002, the Philippines joins in the global observance of World Day Against Child Labor (WDACL) to raise awareness on the plight of child laborers and to demonstrate the country’s solidarity in the worldwide campaign against child labor.

Technical Support Services Division-Employment Workers’ Welfare (DOLE 7 TSSD-EWW) OIC Ma. Teresa Tanquiamco said that the Region also had its own way of celebrating the World Day Against Child Labor last 12 June. “Of course putting into consideration the situation that we have right now, we did the celebration thru the social media platform. We posted advocacy activities online such as the IEC materials, posters and a video. Those were published at our website, ro7.dole.gov.ph and at our official FB page for everyone’s convenient access,” she said.
